Drummit is RockBlocks' community for drum beats, like Reddit for beats. Join sub-drummits such as d/808, d/oddtime and d/fartbeats, post beats you made in the free RockBlocks drum machine, Bang (upvote) the ones you love, react, comment, remix any beat with one tap, and compete in Beat Battles. Every post is a real, playable drum beat you can open in RockBlocks and make your own.

What is Drummit?

Drummit is a free community on RockBlocks where people share drum beats. It works like Reddit: beats are posted into topic communities called sub-drummits, people upvote the ones they like, and every post has comments. The difference is that every post is a real drum beat you can play and remix.

What is a Bang?

A Bang is Drummit's upvote. Tap the drum on any post to Bang it. There are no downvotes: you either Bang a beat or skip it. Posts with more Bangs rise to the top.

How do I post a beat to Drummit?

Make a beat in the RockBlocks drum machine, then choose Post to Drummit, or go to Drummit and tap Post a beat. You can post whatever is in the editor right now, or any song from your library, including a whole Stacks song.

Can I remix someone else's beat?

Yes. Every post has a Remix button that opens the beat in the RockBlocks editor. Change it however you like and post it back; Drummit credits the original automatically and links the two.

What is a sub-drummit?

A topic community for beats, like d/808 for 808 beats, d/oddtime for odd time signatures, or d/worldbeats for grooves from around the world. Anyone signed in can start one.

What is a Beat Battle?

A timed challenge inside a sub-drummit, like 'build a beat in 7/8 where the toms do all the talking'. Everyone posts a beat for it, entries are ranked by Bangs, and the top beat when time runs out wins a Beat Battle Champion trophy on its creator's profile.

Do sub-drummits have rules?

They can. A sub-drummit can require certain kits, time signatures or a tempo range. d/808 only takes beats on the 808 kit, d/oddtime only takes odd time signatures, and the post form checks your beat before you post.

What is Drummit Radio?

Press Play as radio on any feed and Drummit plays its beats back to back, each on its own kit, with a now-playing bar so you can skip or jump to the post.

Is Drummit safe for kids?

Drummit is built with young musicians in mind. Everyone uses a made-up Drummit name, never their real name or email. Posts and comments are checked for bad language and personal information like phone numbers, emails and links. Anything can be reported, and reported posts are hidden until a moderator reviews them. Recorded microphone sounds are never published.

Is Drummit free?

Yes. Browsing and playing beats is free with no account. Posting, Banging and commenting need a free RockBlocks account.
